With stress the focus of 2018's Mental Health Awareness Week, a new resource helps local people seeking welfare advice

Hosted each year by the Mental Health Foundation, this year's Mental Health Awareness Week (until 20 May) focuses on stress, as research has shown that two thirds of us experience a mental health problem in our lifetimes, and stress is a key factor. One of life's everyday experiences that can be stressful is looking for welfare advice, the form-filling that may accompany it, or perhaps the need for someone to speak up on your behalf - an 'advocate'?

From Metro and Stylist: talking to your manager about your mental health

When should I talk to my manager and what should I say? are just two of the topics covered in the Stylist feature about discussing mental health with your manager, while Metro considers How to talk to your boss about stress, with access to a Wellness Action Plan, produced by Mind, together with links to other helpful sources of advice.
