London Irish Film Club - The Drummer and the Keeper

The London Irish Film Club returns for its Autumn/Winter season and will run fortnightly every Thursday from 7 pm.

The Drummer and the Keeper: (Dermot Murphy) recently diagnosed with Bi-polar disorder, is forced to curb his erratic behaviour when his therapist changes his medication and insists he joins a special football team.  When he meets goalkeeper Christopher (Jacob McCarthy), a 17 year old with Asperger's Syndrome, a fraught relationship gradually develops into a firm friendship as each learns to respect the other's foibles.

Write, produce and direct your own short film - tell others what it’s like to hear voices or to see or sense things that other people can’t

Voice Collective has teamed up with the filmmakers at Fitzrovia Youth in Action (FYA) to offer you the opportunity to write, produce and direct your own short film about what it’s like to live with voices, visions or other sensory experiences. Films will be hosted on the Voice Collective and FYA websites and on Youtube, and will be shown in schools and youth organisations. First workshop on Monday, 17 September.

Supporting Children & Young People who Hear Voices (Level 2)

This highly interactive one-day course by Voice Collective will explore ways of supporting children and young people to make sense of, and manage, difficult and distressing sensory experiences. Aimed at those who are already familiar with the Voice Collective ethos and approach: e.g. those who have completed our 'Level 1' course, or who have attended an in-house training session/presentation.
