Suicide can be a very difficult topic to raise if you notice changes in someone and you suspect that the person may have thoughts of wanting to die. On this course, we want to empower you to spot signs, raise awareness and know how to overcome the barrier of avoiding the subject.
We aim to support you to identify myths around suicide, spot possible signs of suicidal thoughts and use a talking practice steps approach:
- encourage expressing of feelings
- call for help or connect with community resources.
We hope that after attending this course you will feel better equipped to connect and talk with people in desperate situations who may consider ending their life a relief and a way to cope.
