Our January 2021 Covid-secure volunteering opportunities presents new volunteering opportunities for health, wellbeing and conservation!
Good news, as volunteering is still currently permitted under the new regulations. According to the government, "Voluntary and charitable activities are exempt from a number of the new restrictions. This means that, where volunteers are able to volunteer outside their home …they can: meet in groups of any size indoors or outdoors while volunteering….travel to volunteer or while volunteering [provided that offices, green spaces and travel remain COVID Secure]”.
Volunteering with Camden Green Gym is open to all, a fantastic workout for nature and for good health, spending positive restorative and purposeful times in Camden's green spaces! No experience or special skills are required. Feel free to book onto any of our sessions - just wear suitable clothing for the weather and outdoor work as well as sturdy shoes or boots. We provide guidance, tools and personal protection equipment such as gloves, although you may want to bring your own gardening gloves during the pandemic. Please also bring your own lunch as we are currently unable to provide any shared refreshments.

TCV Camden Green Gym
Tuesdays and Thursdays: 10:45am - 2pm
Our projects cover a wide range of activities from practical conservation of existing habitats, to planting new wildlife gardens, woodland maintenance, tree planting, wildflower planting, working in orchards and developing community gardens in sites across Camden.
Our volunteering locations vary each week and include: Regents Park, St Andrews Gardens, Baynes Street Canalside Gardens, Waterlow Park, Hampstead Cemetery, Holly Lodge, Spedan Close, Ingestre Wood and Cantelowes Gardens and more!
Green Gyms are open to everyone to attend. Please wear suitable outdoor clothing and sturdy footwear. TCV provides the necessary tools and personal protection equipment.
Referring people to the Camden Green Gym is part of NHS-recommended social prescribing. We strongly believe in the social prescribing initiative so that people with social, emotional or practical needs are empowered to find solutions that will improve their health and well-being, meet new people and learn new skills.
