Single Homeless Project Recovery Group

Every Wednesday, 2.00pm – 3.00pm, via Zoom. Recovery Group is a space for individuals at all stages of recovery to connect and gain support from others who’ve experienced problems with alcohol and other substances. It is an informal group run by SHP Peer Mentors - individuals who have lived experience of overcoming substance use issues. Peer Mentors are here to support you on your recovery journey by listening without judgement, encouraging and signposting you to recovery and wellbeing support services.

Feedback from attendees:
"I enjoy the group, the conversation is good and I feel comfortable. There’s a real nice air about the people running it, they make you feel welcome and comfortable to speak."
"I felt anxious at the start but rather than go into flight mode I managed to stick with it and found it really good... the time seemed to fly by. They spoke about recovery and rehab and it felt really supportive.... it was the most in-depth conversation I've ever had in a group, even though I hadn't met anyone before."
