What do we offer? 

A specialist speech and language therapy team from Whittington Health NHS Trust offers direct help and support to adults with mental health problems who are experiencing communication and/or eating and swallowing difficulties both as in-patients and for people living in the community who are receiving services from Camden and Islington Mental Health Trust.

We can help with communication, for example, being assertive, conversation skills, speaking confidently and clearly. We can also provide advice and support to those caring for someone with communication difficulties. Groups are also run for people with Asperger's Syndrome who have additional mental health problems.

Who should use this service? 
If you are living with a mental health problem and are experiencing communication and/or eating and swallowing difficulties and are receiving services from Camden and Islington Mental Health Trust.

What is the referral process for this service? 

You can self-refer (email slt.mentalhealth@nhs.net or call 020 3316 8520) or referrals are accepted from any professional working with you.
